Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls

  • Helps girls grow up to be strong, successful, happy adults
  • Targets girls in secondary school who face obstacles to their future success
  • Provides girls with access to professional role models, career education and resources

Youth Leadership Award

  • Annual award given to a young girl between the ages 14-18
  • Award is based on outstanding community service
  • The recipient is required to show that she has identified a need in the community and then organized and implemented a plan to meet that need

Dream Big

  • The Soroptimist goal is to raise $15M to reach our Big Goal of investing in the dreams of a half million women and girls through access to education by 2031.
Old Davie School Historical Museum

  • SI Davie members were instrumental in saving the Old Davie School building
  • The Old Davie School is the first permanent school built in the Everglades, circa 1918. Today it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as a museum of local history and culture and as an active community center
  • The school serves teachers and students in Broward County as a field-trip site highlighting the history of education in the area
HOPE Outreach Center

  • A needs-based outreach center for the local community
  • In addition to providing funds for the needs of area families, SI Davie adopts a family or families served by Hope at Christmas time and provides presents for the children
PACE Center for Girls Broward

  • Providing year-round counseling, academic and life skill services for girls 11-17
  • Targets those at risk of entering the juvenile justice system, dropping out of school, or running away
  • In 18 years, has served over 1,600 girls and their families in Broward County
Stop Human Trafficking

  • Public awareness campaign that targets Human Trafficking issues worldwide
  • Victim Backpacks provided to FBI, FDLE and local law enforcement agencies
