Thanks to our Event Chair Gayle Buening, her SI committee members, SI family & friends: Angie K, Barbara G, Marie, Marie's mom Grace, Gayle & Angies' hubby's Don & John, SI friend Cindy, Cindy's mom & Gayle's grandson Jim. Without their hard work this wouldn't of happened. If you have friends and family that don't want to committ at a club level, we are here with open arms to have them join in anytime. It's a great way to make new friends, too!

Donna Gray and her Soropti-mister!

The Davie/Cooper City Chamber's Women In Business Luncheon was a great success! Nancy Olsen was a great speaker and recipient. As always, it's a pleasure to see women in business doing such a great job with work, life and our community's needs. I'm so glad to say that not only was SI of Davie a sponsor, our members were a clear presence at the luncheon. Above is a picture of our crew @ the luncheon w/Nancy in the middle. Memorial West Hospital's Breast Cancer Center tour was FABULOUS!
If you weren't there, you missed an amazing facility & lunch. The thoughtfulness & care that these women put into their work was unprecedented, to say the least. We even met a mother and daughter going through chemo together and they were so appreciative of the staff there. Thank you, Kathy Durham, for sharing your passion with us. I can't say enough about this facility. Some of us have discussed going to their fundraiser at the Westin Diplomat in February. I'm sure information will be forthcoming.

A note from our fairy godmother, Gayle ...

Hello Everyone,
I found this article on Maureen Mann in today's Society section of the Sun Sentinel (Sept. 10). This lady will be our speaker at the program meeting on Tuesday, September 16th at 12 noon. Please invite your friends! (lunch cost, $18.00 at the door)

If you heard her speak at last year's meeting, you know she is WONDERFUL! Please let Barb.J. or Susan know if you are coming and if you are bringing anyone because Vinnie's has to plan the amount of lunches and set up the room. Watch for your "evite" to forward to your friends and family! Remember* this is not a membership recruitment.

We make a living by what we get.
But we make a life by what we give.

SIDavie Celebrates 25 Years
Serving the Community!
A Past President herself, Barbara Reitsma created a lovely
induction ceremony for the officers and board members.
Here, she administers the oath of office to our club
President Susan Coyle.

Past President, Dianne Aucamp, (center) smiles with
Angie Krumenacker, Treasurer, and Donna Gray,
Assistant Treasurer, as the camera closes in.

Former member Sharon Kent, left, schmoozes with
Davie Town Councilmember Susan Starkey, center, and
former Davie Mayor and Club Founder Joan Kovac.
SIDavie has a history of members who serve
the community in leadership roles

In celebration of the club's 25th anniversary, Past
Presidents gathered for this "portrait."
